This app used to work. It started crashing and hounded me to upgrade. I paid the @$5 fee and it still crashes immediately. It is now unusable☹️

Crashes and quits at launch. Useless to me.

You have to upgrade for $5. But it doesn’t work. Purchase made and the app just freezes. Still can’t use upgraded features.

Paid for the upgrade- no upgrades, just more ads to buy the verb packs. The contact us button mysteriously not working either.

only has 7 tenses.

This app has the right idea but falls a little short. Two things keep it from being worth paying for; the search is very bad as it distinguishes between letters with accents so using an English keyboard you can’t find what you want. Second, it doesn’t allow you to create your own lists of words. I paid $5 and all I got was one lost for bookmarks and that is not sufficient at all - not worth paying for imo.

The app hasn't been updated since 2016. Crashes every time I try to click anywhere. The app is basically unusable right now. Please fix it to be compatible with newer iOS upgrades.

I love this app and the trainer. I’ve struggled for years to learn more verbs and their conjugations, but with little success. Until now. My only small feedback is to display the verbs infinitive root (in small print) under the meaning during the trainings. That way we can easily see how the root is changed or expanded to be imperfect or future etc.

Seems like a useful app EXCEPT I paid for the upgrade and nothing was unlocked. No response from developers and as of yet no refund!

This app seems to substantive defects: in the introduction it refers to Spanish as the language that is the subject of the app; and the "trainer" shows no correct answer for several verbs as to which I tested myself -- even though it lists the correct answer. The instruction for the site, in any event, are scant and unhelpful. They need to go back to the drawing board and get out the kinks.

The app crashes after answering a few cards in training mode.

I've been using this application for a while but unfortunately ever since it got updated/changed front page, etc., none of the features of the new App appear to be working. Every time when I click on it, I get kicked out of it - a constant crash! Hope it gets fixed soon.

Would probably be good if it didn't keep crashing.

Crashes every time I play the timed verb game. Every single time, without exception. Please fix!

"New" version constantly kicks you out. Just deleted the app. I have no patience for this.

This was my favorite app! It was perfect! But then I updated it, and it's HORRIBLE! I can't use anything, the quiz won't work, it's freezing, and just unusable. It's a pity, because it really was a great, user friendly, amazing app. If I could give it no stars, I would. I am uninstalling it!

This app is virtually useless without paying $5 to "upgrade". Having resented what I considered an annoying marketing practice I didn't upgrade, and can't comment on the substance of the app. I did notice an amusing review that said the app had every verb wrongly conjugated in the "passé composé (passé sample)". Apparently the reviewer was unaware that they are two different tenses (the passé simple, or "literary past", being used only in written French) and no one should hesitate to buy the app because of that reviewer's comment.

I have Verb Trainer in 3 languages. I don't care for the price, but also I wish the verb were presented first in the quiz. The current way, person/verb/meaning, accidentally reinforces the -er sound as the -ez form, which is only acceptable for "vous". I like being able to choose the verbs I'll be quizzed on, as well as the tense. This helps to concentrate on the verbs I'm having trouble with.

The passé compose (passé simple) is incorrect for all verbs.

Easy to navigate. The search box in particular is really useful. It's handy as a quick reference guide.

Every French app I have gives pronunciation and has the audio on it. Most were free. I like the definitions on this but I have that in books. There is no practice or interaction on this. Absolutely not worth paying for. It should have been free until more developed! Sorry about the bad review but you should go and look at what is out there for less $$ or free and you'll understand why.

There are a lot of verbs and explanations. But i need to be able to search in English - how can I find the word I'm looking for otherwise? Groupings of verbs would make the quiz structure much easier also, whether it be by endings or by meanings (I.e., -er verbs or verbs relating to school or sports, etc). Or maybe let me take a quiz only on imperfect, or only on present tense? Or let me select a group of verbs to study! Otherwise, it's got way too many words to actually learn in any reasonable amount of time.

I recommend this app if you are looking for a verb helper while studying French. Works perfectly. I hope the developers continue improving the app and adding more features.

While this app is thorough and user-friendly, I was very disappointed that it only gives passé simple for past tense and not passé composé. Since my interest is in speaking French, not writing it, this app is not as helpful as I had hoped.

The quiz function doesn't include the passé composé. And there appears to be a problem with character display. The "ê"(e circonflexe) character appears as "Ì" (i majuscule accent grave).

I bought this app to be a good aid to help with French verb conjugation, but found that it lacked the passé compose verb tense (which is commonly used in French). I was also not impressed with the quiz tool because it uses verbs in a way that is not logical (e.g. you rain!)
